To initiate the returns process, please follow the instructions below:
1. Returns cannot be accepted beyond 30 days from the original shipping date.
2. Only defective or damaged merchandise is eligible for return or exchange. "Buyer's remorse" returns cannot be accepted. Products eligible for return must be new, unused, unaltered in any way, contain all original packaging and accessories. Products must be repackaged properly in the original packaging. Any product not in the original packaging as when it was shipped, and in new, resalable condition, will not be accepted for return.
3. Contact returns@thedownsource.com for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) prior to returning your package. Products returned without a proper RMA, issued from The Down Source's customer service department, may not be accepted for return, or may be subject to a 20% re-stocking fee at The Down Source’s discretion.
4. Because we ship from several different manufacturers and suppliers, our Customer Service Department will give you the proper address to send your package for return processing.
5. All returns must be sent prepaid and insured to the address provided by The Down Source’s customer service department.
6. Write your RMA on a blank piece of paper and tape the paper securely to the outside of your package that is being returned. Please do not write your RMA on the box your order came in.
7. Please include a note with your name, address and daytime phone number, along with your reason for the return and a copy of your sales receipt or packing slip.
8. Once you have shipped your return item, please email returns@thedownsource.com and provide the tracking number of your package. This enables us to track the returned item so that you can be credited promptly.
9. All credits will be issued to the credit card used for the original purchase. Allow 1 -2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on your charge card statement.
If the return is being made because of an error that The Down Source made, we will pay for the cost of shipping. Please contact returns@thedownsource.com for return authorization and instructions.
What if my item arrives damaged?
In the event of damage on an item shipped please save all original packaging material and notify us, and the shipping company, within 24 hours of delivery to report the damage. We will strive to make the replacement process quick and easy. The Down Source will pay the return shipping fee for any products that are received damaged.
If you forget or do not note any damages on your Delivery Receipt, but find damages after the delivery, please contact returns@thedownsource.com within 24 hours or we may not be able to replace your order.
