At The Down Source we offer a 30 day Money Back Guarantee.  If you are not satisfied with your purchase, return it, and we will promptly issue a refund (excluding all shipping and handling charges).  To initiate the returns process, please contact returns@thedownsource.com so that we may issue you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).  We will be sure to contact you within 24-48 hours.  All returns must be sent prepaid and insured.  Please refer to our Returns Policy for complete instructions on how to make a return.

Ordering
We currently accept Paypal, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit cards.  To place your order, click on our secure shopping cart and then proceed to checkout.  You will be instructed as to the information needed to complete the check-out process.  Charges will appear as “The Down Source” on your credit card statement.
 
 
Sales Tax
We are required by law to charge sales tax on items sold and shipped to destinations in the state of New York.

Every transaction you make at The Down Source will be safe and secure.  Every online transaction is protected by SSL (Secure Socket Layer) industry-standard security.  SSL encrypts information sent from your browser to us and ensures the safe exchange of sensitive information, such as credit card numbers, passwords and user names.  We are also a Paypal Verified Merchant.  All of your order information is fully encrypted while shopping with us online and makes this process a safer way to shop than to hand your credit card to a clerk in a department store.  However, if you still feel uncomfortable using your credit card for a purchase made online, please contact orders@thedownsource.com and we will be happy to take your information via telephone, fax or mail.
 
 
Back Order Items
Occasionally we experience unexpected demand for a particular product and run out of stock.  We may also occasionally experience delays in fulfilling an order from one of our suppliers.  When this happens, we will notify you as quickly as possible and offer options on how to best complete your order to your satisfaction.
 
 
Cancelling An Order
If you need to cancel an order, or part of an order, please contact us immediately and we will make every effort to stop the order.  A Cancellation Number will always be assigned upon cancellation of an order.  You will need to provide this cancellation number in the event of any discrepancy.  Orders not cancelled prior to an order being shipped cannot be cancelled.  Please be aware that many of our items ship within 24-48 hours from our warehouse or suppliers after an order is placed.  If your order has already been shipped, we cannot cancel the order.  If you decide to refuse the shipment, shipping costs both to and from the delivery address will be deducted from your refund, including, but not limited to, a 20% re-stocking fee.
 
 
Clearance Items
Sales of all clearance items are FINAL.  Contact us before you order if you have any questions.
 
 
FREE Shipping
All products shipped to the lower 48 states are shipped via UPS, FedEx, or DHL ground only and have ABSOLUTELY NO SHIPPING OR HANDLING CHARGES.  THE PRICE YOU SEE IS THE PRICE YOU PAY (New York State Residents are subject to pay an 8% NYS Sales Tax).  Please see our Shipping Policy for more detailed information.
 
 
Post Office Boxes
Common Carrier deliveries cannot be made to a post office box address under any circumstance.
 
 
Getting Your Order
You will receive a “confirmation of order” email when you complete the check-out process.  Once your order has been received and processed, we will notify you, as soon as possible, with your tracking information.  If you experience difficulties in tracking your order, or do not receive your items, please contact support@thedownsource.com.  We will be more than happy to assist you in resolving the issue as quickly as possible.
 
 
What if my item arrives damaged?
Our customer service department is ready to assist you.  Our excellent packaging and shipping experience reduces the likelihood of any damages.  However, in the event of damage on an item shipped, please save all original packaging material and notify us and the shipping company within 24 hours of delivery to report the damage.  We will strive to make the replacement process quick and easy.  The Down Source will pay the return shipping fee for products that are received damaged.
 
If you forget or do not note any damages on your Delivery Receipt, but find damages after the delivery, please contact us within 24 hours or we may not be able to replace your order.
 
 
Do you offer a warranty?
Many of our products come with a warranty against manufacturing defects.  The time frame depends on the manufacturer.  The warranty may be stated on the product pages of our site.  If not, please contact support@thedownsource.com for information regarding specific items.
